How-To GuidesOutbound

Outbound

Getting an order out the door — allocate, pick, pack, and ship.

Outbound is the path an order takes from "ready to fulfill" to "on the truck." It runs in four stages:

  1. Allocate — reserve stock for the order (covered in the Orders manual).
  2. Pick — walk the warehouse and pull the items into a tote.
  3. Pack — verify the picked items, box them, and buy a label.
  4. Ship — the label prints and tracking flows back (covered in the Shipping manual).

The two guides below cover the hands-on floor work, scan by scan.
