Picking
Batch orders into pick lists, pick them on the floor, and handle short picks, totes, and stock discrepancies.
Picking is where allocated orders get pulled off the shelves. You batch orders into pick lists, a picker works a list on a scanner or tablet, and the supporting pages handle what falls out of that: short picks, the totes that carry picked stock, and any stock discrepancies found along the way. It's operator-only.

Pick Lists
Pick Lists → /fulfillment/pick-lists. A pick list is a batch of orders
grouped to be picked together. Create Batch builds a new one; the table shows
each list's status, pick strategy, order count, live progress bar, who it's
assigned to, and when it was created.
Create Batch opens a sheet listing the client's allocated orders by priority, with a pick strategy and a max batch size:
Filter by status (Pending / In Progress / Completed / Cancelled). Click a row for its detail panel — Overview, Orders, Items, and Totes tabs, with progress and the assigned picker.
For a Pending or In Progress list, the Overview tab also carries the operator actions: Open / Resume Picking (into Active Pick), Start Picking (in place), Complete (disabled while any item is still pending), and Cancel — which warns that picked units already in totes will be flagged for put-back. A Completed list (like the one shown) has no actions left.
The Items tab shows a per-line status, distinct from the pick-list's own status:

Active Pick
Active Pick → /fulfillment/active-pick. The hands-on, scan-guided flow a
picker runs on a scanner or tablet. A stepper across the top tracks four phases.
Setup. Choose a brand/client and confirm the warehouse (pinned in the topbar — Setup won't start until a specific warehouse is picked). The screen shows how many allocated orders are waiting; press Next: Scan Totes. You don't pick a strategy or select individual orders here — the strategy is derived from how many totes you scan next (one tote → a single-order pick, more than one → an optimized Seed batch). To resume, an Active pick sessions list offers a Resume on any in-progress list. (Choosing a strategy up front and hand-picking orders happens only in Pick Lists → Create Batch.)
Scan Totes. Register the totes onto the picking cart, so each order's picked units have a tote to go in — and, as above, the count sets the batch size and strategy.
Picking. The flow walks you bin by bin along the route. At each stop you scan the bin, scan the SKU, and drop the units into the right tote; if a bin comes up short you report it (which feeds Short Picks and Discrepancies).
Complete. Once every line is picked, the list closes out and its totes move on to packing.
The Active Pick flow is being reworked right now into a dedicated mobile/tablet picking experience. To avoid documenting a screen that's about to change, the deeper picking steps are described here rather than shown; we'll capture the full step-by-step once the new experience lands.
Short Picks
Short Picks → /fulfillment/short-picks. When a line can't be fully picked,
it lands here. Each row shows the order, item, bin/lot, the need / got / short
counts, the reason (Stockout, Lot recalled, List cancelled, or
Lot moved), and what's still available (pickable, reserve, and any units in
sealed packs).
Resolve each one with Backorder, Cancel line, or Abandon & re-queue (which sends the whole order back to pending to be picked fresh once stock is right). When nothing's outstanding, the page reads "No open short picks."
Totes
Totes → /fulfillment/totes. Every tote in the warehouse and its current
state: Available, In Use (carrying a picked order), or Flagged.
Filter by status. Rows aren't clickable — the only way to open a tote is the View & Clear action, which appears only on a Flagged tote (and only for warehouse staff). The most common flag is a cancelled pick list whose picked items are still in the tote (externally-fulfilled orders are another). Clearing it moves the items to the put-back staging bin and frees the tote for reuse; the detail lists the tote's items (SKU, from-bin, units) before you clear it.
Discrepancies
Discrepancies → /fulfillment/discrepancies. Stock gaps reported during
picking and cycle counts. Each row shows the bin, SKU, expected vs found
quantity, the signed difference, the source, who reported it, and whether it's
open or resolved.
Filter by status (Unresolved / Resolved / All) and by source. Resolve opens a dialog to record resolution notes and mark it handled (typically after counting and adjusting the bin).
