Onboard a new client
The full checklist, from creating the client to their first shipped order.
Onboarding a brand is a sequence of smaller jobs, each with its own guide. This page is the checklist that strings them together, in the order that avoids rework.
Create the client
Add the client: name, code, billing email, currency. Then set their SLA target and default pick strategy on the client detail panel.
Connect their store
Connect a sales channel so orders flow in. For Shopify, that means generating an install link and sending it to the merchant to approve. Once connected, turn on auto-import and map their store locations to your warehouses in the channel settings.
Map their shipping methods
Each channel shipping method (for example a Shopify "Standard Shipping") needs a mapping to a real carrier service, or their orders can't rate and label. Set these up in Shipping Mappings.
Receive their stock
Nothing ships until stock is on hand. Create a purchase order for the inbound freight and receive it into bins.
Only after stock is received should you enable the channel's inventory sync. Enabling it earlier pushes zeroes to their live store.
Invite their users
Create their client user accounts so the brand can watch their own orders, inventory, and reports in the brand portal.
Run the first order through
Let a real order import (or create one manually), then take it through allocation, picking, and packing. One order walked end to end catches most setup mistakes: a missing shipping mapping, an unmapped SKU, a bin that isn't pickable.
